Produced in Canada, all the videos have been written by Canadian author and goalie Perry Elderbroom. These videos are supported by, and considered recommended viewing by the Canadian Hockey Association.

Instructional DVD’s aren’t just for the goalies they are designed to help everyone understand the position better. Each volume is approximately 30 minutes in length and covers a multitude of topics. Each volume has a detailed description as well as a small preview that can be viewed before deciding which ones are best suited for you. ·       For the Goalie; It helps them understand how to play the position as well as introduces some of the new movements and how they are executed properly.  It shows exercises so that the goalie can improve on his technique.

·       For the Coach; Helps them understand what the goalie is trying to achieve and gives the coach helpful tips and drills that he can do on the ice to help his goaltender.

·       For the Parent; As a parent if you want to be involved in your childs development the series allows for a better understanding of what the goalie is trying to achieve and why.

 

 

Volume 1 – An Introduction to Goaltending: All the basic movements needed to build a solid foundation. Designed for the goaltender, his coach and the parents to assist him in development. Suitable for beginners to age 14.

 

 

 

Volume 2 – Angles and Positioning: Proper positioning and angles can be the goaltender’s strongest asset. It can help eliminate many of the inconsistencies in the goaltender’s play. Good for all ages and levels.

 



Volume 3 – The complete Butterfly:
 With so many different elements of the butterfly, understanding what movements belong where and how and when to use them  allow the goaltender to maximize their use during the game. Good for all ages and levels.

 

 

Volume 4 – Forward Motion: Has the body moving forward towards the puck instead of retreating back, forming an illusion for the player, letting him think he has more room to shoot than he actually does. Good for all ages and levels.

 




Volume 5 – Transition:
 Showing the goaltender when and how to handle the puck more efficiently. Taking the coach through the steps necessary to combine his goalies puck handling skill with his team’s offensive transition. Suitable for ages 13 and higher

 



Volume 6 – Playing a System:
 Successful goalies need a system which to play in conjunction with their style. Helps goalies create their very own system to compliment their game. Suitable for ages 13 and higher

 

 

 

Volume 7 – Power Skating: The goaltender’s skating ability directly relates to his performance on the ice. Helps improve balance, strength and speed to create explosive power on the ice. Good for all ages and levels.

 

 

 

Volume 8 – Explosive Power: An off ice conditioning program using a combination of plyometrics, sprint, resistance and agility training to improve your speed and strength to give you more explosive power. Good for all ages and levels.

 

 

 

Volume 9 – A Game of Control: Controlling the depth in the goalies position maximizes the coverage of the net, allowing the goalie to posses the opportunity to stop every shot taken. Suitable for ages 13 and higher

 

 

 

Volume 10 – The Dreaded Goalie Slump: Identifies key components of the slump and how to stop or prevent one, as well as the recovery necessary to regain full confidence in the goalies game. Good for all ages and levels.
